You don't say which version of IMP you're using, but if it's latest SVN,
that's not surprising. Daniel has made a lot of changes to the build
system over the past few weeks and hasn't worked out all the bugs yet.

If you scroll to the bottom of that page, you'll also see the latest IMP
SVN revision which worked correctly (the nightly build includes a test
of the installed version, so we're reasonably confident that 'scons
install' works there). You may want to stick with that for the time being.
