Creating 1e6 distance restraints resulted in a memory usage of 340 megs and a
very long processing time. Adding an extra index decreased the processing time
a couple orders of magnitude but did not change the memory usage. However, the
memory usage in this situation is not really excessive, so we need a better
problem case.
